Jashan-e-Azadi Sports Gala Concludes

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) A three-day Jashan-e-Azadi sports gala has concluded in Sports Complex FDA City with an impressive concluding ceremony.

Divisional Commissioner Madam Silwat Saeed chaired the event as the chief guest and said that sports are imperative to promote healthy society. She said that the government was committed to promoting sports activities at grassroots level and in this connection, a state-of-the-art sports complex was established in FDA City to provide sports facilities to the masses.

Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhary said that more than 100 players participated in the sports gala which comprised various events of swimming, badminton, basket ball, lawn tennis, snooker, table tennis, etc.

He said that FDA Sports Complex stood first in the sports gala while Chenab Club and Minerva Club grabbed second and third positions respectively.

Later, the divisional commissioner distributed cash prizes and trophies among the position holders.

Additional Director General FDA Dilawar Khan Chaddhar, Chief Engineer Mehar Ayub, Directors Asma Mohsin, Yasir Ejaz Chattha, Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Snooker Champion Muhammad Asif, Manager Sports Complex Rizwana Kamal and others were also present on the occasion.
