Karachi kickers advanced to next round after securing a thrilling victory against District Tank in the All Pakistan Haji Habib Ur Rehman Memorial Football Tournament being played at Kunj ground on Wednesday.
Member Tehsil Council UC Nawa Sher, District Abbottabad Sadaqat Khan was the chief guest on this occasion and before the start of the match the players of both the teams including Karachi Kickers and District Tank were introduced to him. Members Organizing Committee Naseer Ud Din Kaka, Khurram Shehzad, Waqas, Shoukat Hussain, Faridoon Khan and large number of spectators were also present.
The math was started on a slow note and none of the team could make any worthwhile moves as a result the ball was mostly confined to mid-field. After the goal less draw in the first-half, Karachi Kickers took the lead in the second session through Imtiaz Ali, the right winger striker. The lead gave extra boost to Karachi Kickers forwards and they made some more moves but were failed due to poor finishing. On the other hands, Tank also made attacking moves but failed to level the tally and thus Karachi Kickers won the match by solitary goal. Siddique Dar, Zahid Cheema and Wasif Khan supervised the match.
