ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb Saturday expressed grief and sorrow over the death of former Olympian goalkeeper Mansoor Ahmed and said he was a renowned national player of hockey.

The minister, in a condolence message, said Mansoor Ahmed achieved many awards and distinctions for Pakistan and raised the green Pakistani flag in the world. She said the game played by Mansoor Ahmed in the final of World Cup 994 was still etched on the minds of Pakistanis.

She prayed Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
