Nabi Gull's Heroic Inning Helps Peshawar Clinch Victory

Peshawar clinched victory against FATA by two wickets, following a sensational match in the 15th National T-20 Cup, at Multan Cricket Stadium, here on Tuesday.

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Peshawar clinched victory against FATA by two wickets, following a sensational match in the 15th National T-20 Cup, at Multan cricket Stadium, here on Tuesday.

In the third match of National T-20 Cricket Cup, FATA won the toss and elected to bat first. Adil Ameen's 44 runs (not out) led FATA to a total of 124 for loss of five wicket in the fixed overs. Similarly, Asif Afridi (not out) and Sami ul Haq contributed 19 runs each. Peshawar Region bowlers, Imran (Sr) Waqas Maqsood, Zuhaib Khan, and Imran Khan (Jr) got one wicket each.

Responding to low total, Peshawar Region achieved the target after losing eight wickets in the last over. FATA player Nabi Gull made 34 runs of 22 balls. In his spectacular inning, he hit two sixes and two fours and snatched match from FATA following sensational contest. FATA Region bowlers Zia ul Haq grabbed three wickets. Similarly, Usama Mir got two wickets.

Nabi Gull was declared Man of the Match for his speedy inning. Muhammad Asif and Tahir Shah served as Umpires while Zameer Haider was tv Umpire for the match.
