National Youth, Jr Athletics Championship From Oct 13

Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) will hold National Youth and Junior athletics championships, both men and women, from October 13 at Islamabad's Jinnah stadium.

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) will hold National Youth and Junior athletics championships, both men and women, from October 13 at Islamabad's Jinnah stadium.

"More than 300 athletes, men and women, belonging to Pakistan Army, PAF, Navy, Wapda, Railways, HEC, Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Islamabad, AJk, FATA and Gilgit-Baltistan will showcase their talent in two-day national event," said a spokesman for AFP while talking to APP, here on Tuesday.

He said as many as 17 track and field events of Jr men, 15 of Junior women, 16 of youth men and 14 of youth women will be contested.

He said that AFP is taking every measure for further uplift of the game by holding events on regular basis. "Our national senior and junior teams are taking part in international events abroad which is helping our athletes, both men and women, to lift the level of their game," he added.
