Los Angeles, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Feb, 2018 ) :The Indianapolis Colts finally got their man, hiring Frank Reich to be their new head coach five days after Josh McDaniels reneged on a deal to take the position.
The Colts posted a photo of former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Reich signing the contract on the NFL team's website. Reich replaces Chuck Pagano as coach following a search that took an unusual path.
Indianapolis announced on Tuesday that Patriots offensive coordinator McDaniels had agreed to take the job but McDaniels reportedly called Colts general manager later that evening saying he had changed his mind.
The Colts' second choice was Reich, the man who outsmarted McDaniels last week and helped lead the Eagles to their first NFL title since 1960. "Frank is a leader of men who will demand excellence from our players on and off the field," Ballard said Sunday.
"I look forward to working with Frank to deliver a championship-calibre team to the city of Indianapolis." Terms of the deal were not released.
