No Release For Bordeaux-Begles' Urios Even If President Macron Asks

Future Bordeaux-Begles coach Christophe Urios will not be allowed to coach the French national team even if President Emmanuel Macron requests, the club's owner Laurent Marti said on Monday.
"Christophe Urios will be with Bordeaux-Begles for the next four years and will not be released for the French national team under any circumstances, even if President Emmanuel Macron asks me," Marti said.
"I told Christophe, it would be a no and big no," he added.
Urios, who will leave current side Castres who he lead to the Top 14 title in June, had been the subject of reports linking him with the France job.
The former Oyonnax boss announced in July he would leave the champions at the end of his current contract in June 2019.
Former England and British and Irish Lions back-rower Joe Worsley has taken charge of Bordeaux-Begles, who sit in eighth place in the table, until the end of this campaign after Rory Teague stepped down as coach last week.
