Pak-India Blind Cricket Series In March 2019

The cricket series between blind teams of Pakistan and India is likely to take place in March, 2019 at the neutral venue of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Syed Sultan Shah, chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) said on Tuesday.

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :The cricket series between blind teams of Pakistan and India is likely to take place in March, 2019 at the neutral venue of United Arab Emirates (UAE), Syed Sultan Shah, chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) said on Tuesday.

"I had a detailed meeting with my Indian counterpart Mahantesh G K in Dubai during the Blind Cricket World Cup, earlier this year.

We both had agreed to hold two bilateral series between the two neighbouring countries," he told APP.

He said India would hold first of the two series in March 2019, while Pakistan would host the second series by the end of the same year (2019).

Sultan said Indian blind cricket team was earlier scheduled to tour Pakistan in November, 2018 but the Indian government did not allow it to send team to Pakistan.

"Hence the cricketing ties remained suspended between the blind teams of two countries," he said.

He said that PBBC had proposed Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI)to hold three one days and as many T20 matches in the UAE series.
