Pakistan Cricket Team Returns Home

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -9th Sept,2016) : Members of the Pakistan one day and T20 cricket team arrived home after playing one day series and a lone T20 game in the tour of England.
Players took different flights to reach their respective destinations. Veteran batsman, Shoaib Malik, Mummad Amir, Babar Azam, Wahab Riaz and Hasan Ali arrived Lahore while Pakistan T20 captain Sarfraz Ahmad, Sharjeel Ahmad and Khalid Latif landed at Karachi.
Sohail Tanveer, Ammad Wasim ,Muhammad Nawaz and Muhammad Rizwan arrived Islamabad. Safraz said it was unfortunate that Pakistan one day team failed to put up a good show in the one day matches.
"Our performance was not satisfactory in the one day games and we need more hard work to lift the level of our performance in one day games",he said. Answering a question, he said he has not yet given it a thought to become captain of Pakistan one day team and he is fully concentrating on the his next tour when the team will plays West Indies in UAE.
Sohail Tanveer vowed to performance better in his next tour with the team by putting in more hard work and commitment. "I have made a come back in the national team after performing good in the domestic season and I will continue my hard work and efforts to remain a part of the team in future as well,"he added.
He said every player goes through a bad patch in his career and comes out of such a depressing situation by performing to a higher level . To a question he said in the last one and half year the performance of Pakistan team in the T20 matches is not good as our respective opponents prepared too good to beat us in all departments of the game.
Answering another question, he said Sarfraz has the talent to become Pakistan one day captain as he has captained Pakistan U19 and other teams at different levels and he would be facing no difficulty while leading Pakistan one day team .
"I don't think so that he will be under pressure if given the responsibility of the Pak one day team as he has the potential to duly fit in the role of one day captain ", said Sohail. He said the one day series loss to England is a big shock for the team as well as players but the victory in the T20 match has given them some hope and happiness to make a come back in future games.
England won the five match series 4-1 while Pakistan won the lone T20 match by 9 wickets. Meanwhile, Pakistan team's head coach Micky Arthur has left for Australia and he will be joining the team before the series against West Indies.
