Pakistan's Tayyab Moves In Squash Semis

Pakistan's Tayyab Aslam moved in the semifinals of the Chief of the Air Staff International Squash for Men, played here at Mushaf Squash Complex on Wednesday.
ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Sep, 2018 ) :Pakistan's Tayyab Aslam moved in the semifinals of the Chief of the Air Staff International Squash for Men, played here at Mushaf Squash Complex on Wednesday.
Two of our top Pakistani players Asim Khan and Tayyab were against each other in the quarter finals which after a great fight was won by Tayyab by 3-2.
The other foreign players who reached the semifinals include Leo Au (Hkg), Youseff Soliman (Egy) and Nafizwan Adnan (Mas).
Tayyab will play Leo Au of Hong Kong in the semifinal on Thursday.
In the CAS International Men Squash quarterfinals, Leo Au (Hkg) beat Mazen Gamal of Egypt by 11-8, 11-7, 11-6 (3-0) in 42 min, Pakistan's Tayyab Aslam beat his countryman Asim Khan by 11-3, 10-12, 14-16, 11-5, 11-9 (3-2) in 85 min, Youseff Soliman of Egypt beat Omar Abdel Meguid of Egypt with 12-10, 11-3, 12-10 (3-0) in 30 min; Nafizwan Adnan (Mas) beat Mostafa Asal (Egy) with 11-6, 11-5, 11-4 (3-0) in 30 min.
However in Pakistan International Squash Tournament for Women none of the Pakistani player made her way to the semifinals.
In the women matches, Rowan Elarby of Egypt beat Faiza Zafar of Pakistan with 11-5, 11-6, 11-5 (3-0) in 20 min, Farida Momen of Egypt beat Menna Hameed of Egypt by 13-11, 4-11, 11-6, 13-11 (3-1) in 52 min match, Tong Tsz-Wing of Hong Kong beat Madina Zafar of Pakistan by 11-8, 11-4, 11-5 (3-0) in 29 min, Nada Abbas of Egypt beat Tessa ter Sluis of Netherlands by 11-6, 11-2, 7-11, 11-7 (3-1) in 28 min.
The semifinals of tournaments will be played on September 13.
