Pashtoon Garri Win Ramadan Floodlight Volleyball Title

Pashtoon Garri village clinched the trophy of the volleyball event part of the ongoing Ramadan Floodlight Games under the aegis of Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here at Taru Jabba village on Saturday
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2019 ) :Pashtoon Garri village clinched the trophy of the volleyball event part of the ongoing Ramadan Floodlight Games under the aegis of Directorate of sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here at Taru Jabba village on Saturday.
Nazim Taru Jabbad Abid Afridi, Member District Council Haider Ali Khan, Regional Sports Officers Sami Ullah Marwat (District Nowshera), Jamshed Baloch (Peshawar) and former Director Youth Arshad Hussain, elders of the area and large number of spectators were also present and witnessed the thrilling final.
Before the start of the final the players of the two teams � Pashtoon Garri village and Farooq Club of Azakhail, District Nowshera were introduced to the chief guest Abid Afridi and other guests. The final match was started on a fast tempo and soon Farooq Club Azakhail, having support of the cheering local spectators, got the first set by 23-25. The set was also tied on couple occasion but over all Farooq Club Azakhail played well and raced to the victory. On the other hands, Pashtoon Garri tried their hard but apart from leveling the tally at 13-13, 17-17, 18-18, 21-21, 22-22 and 23-23.
After winning the first set, Farooq Club did not lost their strength and did the same in the second by taking 2-0 lead against Pashtoon Garri village team.
The score of the second game was 22-25. For Farooq Club Irfan and Ibrar played well as main smashers in the final along with setting Yasir and two blockers Javed Ali and Tahir also played well.
It was the third set in which Pashtoon Garri club staged a strong come back and first tied the tally 2-2 after winning two consecutive sets by 25-22 and 25-21.
For Pashtoon Garri the two main smashers Rehan and Abdullah along with setting Tufail played well and succeeded in beating the rival blockers at the net. Pashtoon Garri changed their strategy by putting two teams on the net and showered forceful smashes which created a panic like situation in the rank of Farooq Club.
It was the fifth set in which Pashtoon Garri managed their position and marched into victory at 25-19. Thus Pashtoon Garri won the match by 3-2.
At the end, the chief guest Nazim Taru Jabbad gave away trophies and cash prizes. He also appreciated the organizing committee for holding the grand volleyball event wherein top clubs took part.
