Probe Body To Inquire Into Purchase Of Sub-standard Sports Gears In Malakand District

Senior Minister for Tourism and Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Atif Khan Friday taken strong action by setting up a probe committee to inquire about the provision of sub-standard sports gear in Malakand District.
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2018 ) :Senior Minister for Tourism and Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Atif Khan Friday taken strong action by setting up a probe committee to inquire about the provision of sub-standard sports gear in Malakand District.
He directed the concerned quarters to apprise him about the purchase of sub-standard sports gear and submit a report in a week time.
He said it is the responsibility of the govt to check and re-check the purchase of sub-standard sports gear on sports funds of the district.
He said action would be taken against all those proved responsible. It is worth mentioning here that district comprising two Tehsil including Dargai and Batkhala.
When contacted, District Sports Officer Ismail Khan disclosed that the procurement committee headed by Deputy Commissioner and District Nazim Malakand procured sports goods under a proper purchase committee of worth Rs. 8.1 million.
He said Deputy Commissioner Malakand has setup a probe committee as directed by the minister Atif Khan.
Ismail Khan said so far everything was purchased accordingly by fulfilling all required procedures by the purchasing committee working under District Nazim Malakand.
The District Nazim, he said, has also confirmed that he had saved Rs2 million out of the total Rs8.1 million.
