PSFF announces 14-member team for Asian Soccer Futsal Championship

Pakistan Soccer Futsal Federation (PSFF) on Monday announced a 14-member strong outfit for participation in the four-day Asian Soccer Futsal Championship.

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Dec, 2018 ) :Pakistan Soccer Futsal Federation (PSFF) on Monday announced a 14-member strong outfit for participation in the four-day Asian Soccer Futsal Championship.

The vibrant eight-nation competition will commence here at the Liaquat Gymnasium of Pakistan sports Complex from Dec 13.

Pakistan team will be comprised of Mubasher Sanjrani (captain), Uzair Khan (vice captain), Umair Asif, Ahmed Ali, Imran Khan, Muhammad Fasih, Alamgeer Ghazi, Jibran Khan, Hamza Nusrat, Muheez Sajjad, Aneeb Tahir, Hasaan Zafar, Imad Khan and Irtaza Haseeb.

Senior Vice President of PSFF, Shahid Farooq Malik told APP that Pakistan futsalroos had undergone a three-week rigorous training at the futsal facility of National University of Modern Languages Islamabad. Their selection has been made on the basis of merit. We hope they will put up a good show in the event," he added.

Besides, Pakistan teams from India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Nepal would chip in event.

Shahid, who is also chairman of the organizing committee of the Championship said that the federation would also hold cultural programmes during the event where artists would perform to entertain the audience.

"The UK-based Bhangra band Sahara would entertain the spectators at the inaugural ceremony, while renowned Afghan singer Mozhdah Jamalzadah and Pakistan's Sahir Ali Bagga would also perform during the event", he said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan team skipper Mubasher Sanjrani sounded confident that Pakistan futsalroos would live up to the expectations by finishing at a respectable place in the event. "Our outfit consists of some really talented boys.

They are very quick and possess great skills. Their unpredictability in attacks makes them tough opponents to contain", he added.

The championship, he said would offer a great opportunity to Pakistan players to display their waresin front of family, friends and futsal lovers in the country.
