Pakistan former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has become the oldest player to score a half century in history of T-20 cricket

ABU DHABI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th March, 2019) -Pakistan former skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has become the oldest player to score a half century in history of T-20 cricket. He made the largest sixth-wicket stand in match against Lahore Qalandar and scored 59 runs on 55 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes and thus clinching a victory for his team, Peshawar Zalmi.

It was 161st T-20 match of his career. He made 3473 scores with the average of 34-04 and made one century and 13 half centuries of in cricket short format. His strike rate is 161-54.

It is point to be noted that combined age of two players, Sandeep Lamechhane and Shaheen Shah Afridi, of same match was less than eight years of Misbah.

Misbah and Darren Sammy combined partnership also dimmed hopes of Lahore Qalander to reach in semi final. The win helped Zalmi clinch a playoff spot while Qalandars are on the brink of missing the knockout stages after the loss. Earlier, in response to Qalandar’s 125 score, Misbah and Darn made a partnership of 100 score at a time when half of Zalim team went to pavilion.
