Karachi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2018) Peshawar Zalmi has set a target of runs for Islamabad United in PSL 2018 final. Defending champion Peshawar Zalmi is facing first PSL champion Islamabad United for PSL 2018 final in National Stadium Karachi.
Peshawar Zalmi batted first after winning the toss. Zalmi’s skipper Darren Sammy hoped for setting a big total on a batting friendly wicket but, his team’s batting line crumbled to combination of pace and spin offered by Islamabad United.
Shadab Khan of Islamabad United ripped through Zalmi’s batting line and took 3 important wickets for merely 25 run is his 4 overs quota.
Zalmi’s top scorer in the tournament, Kamran Akmal failed to deliver on the grandest stage and became victim of Samit Patel on 1 run.
But Zalmi’s spearhead of pace attack, Wahab Riaz’s cameo in death overs helped his team set respectable target of 149 runs for Islamabad United. Wahab Riaz scored 28 runs of 14 balls with the help of 4 fours and 1 six.
