Reception Hosted For PSL-3 Winners At Governor House, Sindh

The players, coach and other officials of Islamabad United - the winners of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 3rd Edition attended a reception hosted at the Governor House Sindh.
KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2018 ) :The players, coach and other officials of Islamabad United - the winners of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 3rd Edition attended a reception hosted at the Governor House Sindh.
Prominent among the participants were Captain Misbah-ul-Haq, J.P. Duminy, Luke Ronchi, Shahdab Khan and Coach Waqar Younus, according to a press release issued from the Governor House, here on Monday.
It may be recalled that a few months ago, the Islamabad United team had planted a sapling at the Governor House under one run - one tree plan, and had promised that if they won the PSL they would visit the Governor House.
Speaking on the occasion, Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair said this big-time cricket event offered many exciting contests to the cricket lovers. He said Luke Ronchi's batting played an important role in the victory of Islamabad United.
The Governor said, irrespective of winners or losers, Pakistan cricket won. He said foreign players' participation in the cricket event in Pakistan has opened the doors of international cricket in the country.
He said the whole nation is grateful to foreign players, as after a long time Karachi's cricket fans got the opportunity to see foreign players in action. Muhammad Zubair said organising PSL final in Karachi is a prove of improved law and order situation in the city.
He said the Pakistan Cricket board and other organisers deserve appreciation for the successful holding of the PSL. After Lahore, the cricket fans of Karachi also showed their keen interest. He said it has proved that Pakistani nation is cricket-crazing. The Governor expressed his felicitations to Karachi's cricket fans, and said they encouraged both teams.
