RugbyU: Hernandez at fly-half as Argentina make changes for England

LONDON, , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Nov, 2016 ) : Argentina coach Daniel Hourcade installed Juan Martin Hernandez at fly-half as he made three changes to his side to play England at Twickenham.

Following a last-gasp penalty loss in a 19-16 defeat by Scotland, Argentina coach Daniel Hourcade has moved Hernandez from midfield to fly-half. Hernandez replaces Nicolas Sanchez, cleared of a striking charge against Scotland by a disciplinary committee on Tuesday, but ruled out with an ankle injury.

A survivor from the Argentina side that beat England 25-18 at Twickenham in 2006, Hernandez will form a new half-back pairing with Tomas Cubelli, who replaces Martin Landajo at scrum-half following last week's loss to the Scots at Murrayfield.

Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias fills the gap at inside centre created by Hernandez's move to fly-half.

The other change sees Leonardo Senatore take over from Facundo Isa in the back row. "Having Hernandez in the starting line-up is always a benefit for the team and of course playing at 10 is a position that he prefers," said Hourcade.

"It is not only Hernandez's experience of that game which is important, it is his knowledge, his experience in many situations that is important for the team." Hourcade added Argentina would have to be at their best against an England side on a 12-game winning streak, the last 11 all under Australian coach Eddie Jones.

"Even though the perfect match doesn't exist, we have to play the best game possible, because England are in a great place and they're a very good team," he said. "It's a very tough challenge, and we'll have to be up to the task."
