The 'School hockey League' organized by education department South Punjab has been kicked off for the promotion of national game
MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :The 'School hockey League' organized by education department South Punjab has been kicked off for the promotion of national game.
The matches were being played under league system at school level. The hockey matches would be held at three divisions of South Punjab including Multan, DG Khan and Bahawalpur through the league as hockey teams from 11 districts were participating in the event.
The hockey matches would be played at inter-school, inter-tehsil and inter-district levels.
Secretary Education, South Punjab Dr Ihtesham Anwar paid visit to Bahawalpur to review arrangements regarding hockey League.
He also met with the hockey teams hailing from various schools at Matiullah hockey stadium Bahawalpur.
Talking to media persons, Secretary Education South said that the School hockey League would help to hunt talent at gross root level.
