Seminar On International Day Of Sports For Peace And Development

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2017 ) : A seminar on "International day of Sports for Peace and Development" Thursday was conducted in the Fazl-I-Hussain reading Room, Government college university Lahore.
The useful activity was organised by Ravian Health and sports society in collaboration with Pakistan Olympic Association (POA). Lt. Gen. (R) Arif Hasan, President Pakistan Olympic Association, Vice chancellor Prof.
Syed Hassan Amir Shah (SI) and Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation and Shaukat Javed, Chairman Pakistan Federation Baseball, Khadim Ali Khan, Director sports GCU highlighted the role of sports for development and peace.
Several other Presidents and Secretaries of National Federations were also present. All the speakers touched different aspects of the power of sports for human development and peace. They spread the message of ways of eliminating corruption, terrorism and violence from the society as a result of indulgence in sports.
At the end, President POA requested all the audience to raise WHITE CARD to symbolize the peace efforts worldwide. This event was organized under the supervision of Advisor Waseem Akhtar and Co advisor Muhammad Atif Shafiq of the Ravian's health and sports society.
