Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women Inter-College Games From January 19

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Dec, 2018 ) :Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) Inter-College Games will commence from January 19, 2018, Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Razia Sultana told the members of various affiliated colleges while chairing a meeting of the Annual General Sports Committee here on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, the Vice Chancellor SBBWU Professor Dr. Razia Sultana underscored the importance of sports for women students and revealed that the latent structure of the types of sports students' motives consisted of six factors comprising sport action with friend, popularity, fitness and health, social status, sports events, relaxation through sports.
She also advices the students to be punctual as time is more important and participating in healthy sports activities mean you are more healthier.
The VC says a healthy mind resides in healthy body and that is why the University is giving importance to sports activities so that to provide ample opportunities its students to and show their hidden talent in different games.
"We have to motivate our students in situations where one is physically capable of performing the task but is uncertain about her capabilities, which in many cases is a problem that drives female not to begin with a chosen sports activity," she said.
The reasons one gives for participating and dropping out of sport have received extensive attention over the past few years in terms of recreation and as a competitive sport, she said, adding understanding why individual participate in sport is not a simple matter and one of most important issues is that female have many reasons for getting involved, and some of their reasons change from different point of view."Earlier, the house elected Mrs Shaheen Umar, Principal, City Girls Degree College, Gulbahar and Prof. Dr. Hamida Bano, Principal Govt. Girls Degree College, Jamrud, Khyber District as President and Vice President of the sports committee along with eight members of the EC including Humaira, Principal Bacha Khan Girls College, Ms. Khansah Ghayoor of Hayatabad Girls Degree College, Ms. Hina Sajjad Khan, Bacha Khan Girls Collee, Aysha Nisar, GGC Chagharmatti. Uzma Qadir, Girls College, Ekka Ghund, Humara, Mrs. Kalsoom, Principal Girls College, Tajo Bibi, Charsadda, Zaibun Nisa, GC Zaryab, Uzma, DPE Govt Girls College Dabgari.?Soon after her election, Mrs Shaheen Umar thanked the House for reposing confidence in her.
