Shahid Pleads For Inclusion Of FATA Districts In PFF Election

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2018 ) :Former national footballer and President FATA Football Association Shahid Khan Shinwari has called for inclusion and induction of recently merged FATA districts into the election of Pakistan Football Federation.

He also appreciated the Supreme Court for taking notice over delay and directing the concerned quarters for holding the much awaited election of the Pakistan Football Federation.

He said due to the ongoing tug of war football has suffered a lot and holding of fresh polls is the only solutions for resolving this problem.

He said, broader agreement between the parties concerned for holding of fresh elections, would certainly help promote football all across the country.

He said the FATA has been earlier denied of their genuine right and since the last seven years they have just playing right, not the voting right which is not a justified act.

He also requested top leadership to include the districts of FATA into the election of the Pakistan Football Federation with full vote.

He said the grants given by FIFA for the development of goal-house projects in all across Pakistan has not been utilized.

Shahid Khan Shinwari, who is also President FATA Olympic Association, underlined the need for the involvement of the football organizers and those working with football since long.

He said the tribal areas are full of talent and such talent also needed due recognition but being ignored. There are more than 130 clubs working in football but since 2003 only playing right was given to FATA by ignoring us from voting right.
