SNGPL Sports Gala Commences

A four-day Annual Sports Gala 2018-19 of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) started at WAPDASports Stadium here on Tuesday
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th March, 2019) :A four-day Annual Sports Gala 2018-19 of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) started at WAPDA Sports Stadium here on Tuesday.Round matches were played on the first day of the event.
Azam Khan Wazir, SGM-HR, will be the Chief Guest at the formal inauguration ceremony to be held today(Wednesday).A total of 21 teams from 15 regions of SNGPL, Head Office, Projects and a women team would participate in the Annual Sports Gala.
Each participating team is comprised of 18 players.There are total 378 players from Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad D& T, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Peshawar, Wah T, Mardan, Sialkot regions, Projects, Head Office and a women team in the sports gala.
A number ofevents includingCricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Volley Ball, Athletics, Shot Put, High Jump, Long Jump and Tug of War will be held.Women team players will only participate in indoor games such as Table Tennis and Badminton on March 28.
Ms. Wajiha Anwar, Company Secretary will attend the women event as chief guest.The prize distributing ceremony of the sports gala will be held on Friday. Deputy Managing Director Amer Tufail will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony.SNGPL Annual Sports Gala is organized under the supervision of President Sports Cell SNGPL Muhammad Waseem, Vice President Muhammad Arshad, General Secretary AshrafNadeem, Finance Secretary Asif Qureshi, Member Sports Adeela Marzokand Member Sports Abdul Rauf Awan.
