Squash Wizard Jansher Congratulates, Armed Forces, Nation On Defence Day

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -5th Sep,2016) : Squash wizard Jansher Khan Monday congratulated the Armed Forces of Pakistan and the entire Pakistani nation on the Defence Day for not only defended the motherland but also thwarted the enemy's designs with an unprecedented display of unity and courage.
Born on June 15, 1969, in Peshawar, Jansher Khan is a former World No. 1 professional squash player, winning World Open a record eight times, and the British Open six times, said that moment of moral and military victory is today our national asset, which shall ever remain in the annals of history as shining example for all generations to come.
Jansher's skill of movement singled him out from the competition, holding "all the top squash experts in awe. Jansher Khan's retirement brought an end to nearly 50 years of domination by Pakistan in the sport of squash.
Jansher, who officially announced his retirement from squash in 2001, has the honor of winning a total of 99 professional titles and was ranked the World No. 1 for over 10 years, said: to me it is the moment of pride and pleasure that we are celebrating September 6 because our armed forces with the support of the entire nation gave a message to the enemy that their nefarious design about Pakistan would not be succeeded.
Pakistan coming into being was the result of an arduous struggle and supreme sacrifices of the people, who happily embraced the difficulties in their way at the call on the Quaid, and valiantly waded through the obstacles, Jansher added.
He said, the war of 1965 was amongst one such testing times imposed by the enemy in which the fearless sons of soil proved to the adversary, and the world at large, that Pakistan cannot be cowed down no matter how bigger the size of enemy is, adding, the lesson learnt from the 1965 War was clear that unity and oneness, commitment and courage and spirit of sacrifice if combined together can make a nation invincible and its defence impregnable.
Winning 99 world titles consecutively and 686 overall, Jansher said that it was the spirit to sacrifice and will to survive has led to making us a nuclear nation. We proud our armed forces who gave unmatched sacrifices only to defend the motherland and to protect the lives and property of people of Pakistan who can take a breath as free and sovereign nation of the world, Jansher added.
He also appreciated the people of Pakistan who stand united against terrorism, hand in hand with the armed forces, civil and military security, law enforcement and intelligence agencies. We salute the jawans, officers, officials of the security forces and police who laid their lives in the line of duty and also salute those jawans who got injured during this war against terrorism, Jansher said.
He said the Defense Day of Pakistan reminds us of the unflinching resolve, determination, courage and bravery of the Pakistani nation. He urged upon the entire nation to pays its tributes to those martyrs and Ghazis, who added splendid chapters in the annals of our history by setting examples of valour and courage, and did not even hesitate to render the ultimate sacrifice by laying down their lives.
