Ten Matches Played On Third Day Of ITF Jr Tennis

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Nov, 2018 ) :A total of 10 matches were played on the third day of ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships here at the PTF Tennis Complex.
Berk Ulas of Turkey caused the second major upset of the tournament when he eliminated second seed Arya Roghani of Iran in straight sets.
Third seed Huzaifa Abdul Rehman made it to the semifinals of the tournament by thrashing Ahmed Kamil in a one sided match.
Top seed Bulgarian Ivan Penev breezed past Saqib Hayat in straight sets without conceding a single game.
Penev displayed quality skills carrying his form from the first tournament.
In the girl's event, second seed Mahin Qureshi withdrew from the tournament due to wrist injury and Chinese player YiWendan Zhu got a walk over against her.
Thirds seed Turkish player Mina and fourth seed Russian player Nadezhda easily won their respective quarterfinals in straight sets on a rain hit day.
Results of Boys' Singles Pre-Quarterfinals: Huzaif Abdul Rehman (Pak) beat Ahmed Kamil (Pak) 6-0, 6-0; Nauman Aftab (Pak) beat Aryan Esmaeilpourfallahi (Iri) 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3); Ivan Penev (Bul) beat Saqib Hayat (Pak) 6-0, 6-0; Berk Ullas Enc (Tur) beat Arya Roghani (Iri) 6-3, 6-2.
Girls Singles Quarterfinals: YiWendan Zhu (Chn) got a walk over against Mahin Qureshi; Mina Toglukdemir (Tur) beat Darya Mostafi (Iri) 6-2, 6-1; Nadezhda Khalturina (Rus) beat Sie Ding Chai (Mas): 6-0, 6-2.
Boys' Doubles: Sami Zeb, Subhan Bin Salik (Pak) beat Shoaib Khan, Abdullah Abdullah (Pak): 6-3, 6-3.
