It will be a tie-breaker twin bill in Major League Baseball on Monday after big wins for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers on the final day of the regular season.

Los Angeles, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Oct, 2018 ) :It will be a tie-breaker twin bill in Major League Baseball on Monday after big wins for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers on the final day of the regular season.

The Dodgers and Rockies will face off in Los Angeles for the National League West Division title while the Cubs and Brewers will play for the NL Central crown at Wrigley Field.

The Dodgers, who had locked up at least a wild card berth on Saturday, kept their bid for a sixth straight division title alive with a dominant 15-0 victory over the Giants in San Francisco.

The Rockies beat the Nationals 12-0 in Denver.

In Milwaukee, Jesus Aguilar hit his 35th home run of the season and drove in three runs as the Brewers roared past the Detroit Tigers 11-0.

The Brewers finished tied atop the division with the Cubs, who defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 10-5 on Sunday.

The winner of the Dodgers-Rockies tiebreaker will play the Atlanta Braves in the NL division series.

The winner of the Brewers-Cubs tiebreaker will play in the division series against the winner of the wild card game -- which will be contested on Tuesday by the losers of Monday's tiebreakers.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts will send Walker Buehler to the mound against the Rockies.

"To win the game and to get a couple days off, and to host a Division Series, is very important," Roberts said. "Our goal is to win the division." That determination was on full display all day in San Francisco, where the Dodgers scored twice before the first out was recorded. They exploded for seven runs in the third inning, three more in the fourth and two in the fifth.

The Rockies were similarly explosive before a sell-out home crowd of 47,833 who exited Coors Field chanting "Beat LA!" Charlie Blackmon hit for the cycle, completing his collection of a single, double, triple and home run with a double off Nationals right-hander Kyle McGowin in the eighth.

Blackmon belted a triple in the first inning, a two-run homer in the third and a single in the fifth.

It was the ninth cycle in Rockies' history, and he became the first player to hit for the cycle in the 162nd game of the season.

Nolan Arenado homered twice for the Rockies, taking the National League lead with 37 for the regular season.
