Tolerance In Sports Will Be The Theme Of 11th MBR Creative Sports Award

HE Mattar Al Tayer announces the formation of three committees to commence work on the next edition of the awards
DUBAI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th February, 2019) HE Mattar Al Tayer, Deputy Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award, has announced the formation of three committees to commence work on the 11th edition of the Award, which are organised under the umbrella of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiative.
With the UAE celebrating 2019 as the Year of Tolerance, “Tolerance in Sports” will be the theme of the 11th Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award, and the three committees that have been announced are: Technical Committee, the Arbitration Committee and the Communications and Marketing Committee. For the first time, there will be a Director for each committee and the post has been given to promising young Emirati talents.
The Technical Committee is chaired by Dr Khalifa Rashid Al Shaali, a member of the Award’s Board of Trustees, and Fatima Al Mandoos will be the deputy chair, while Shaima Ali Malik is the Director. The other members of the committee are Dr Mina Juma Al Bahr, Dr Saad Ahmed Shalaby and Abdulsamad Hussain Suleiman, and Dr Jamal Abbas is the coordinator. Dr Mustapha Larfaoui, a member of the Award’s Board of Trustees, will chair the Arbitration Committee, and his deputy is fellow-member of the Board of Trustees, Ahmed Mosaed Al Osaimi.
The other members of the committee are Tariq Yousef Al Janahi and Maryam Abdulla Bin Lahej, while Abeer Mohammed Al Khaja has been named as the Director. Dr Nagy Ismael Hamed will be the coordinator. The Communication and Marketing Committee is chaired by Moaza Saeed Al Marri, the Secretary General of the Award, while Sara Mohammed Al Mutharab will be the deputy and Adel Farooq Al Awadhi is the Director. Sara Al Sayegh is also a member of the committee and Hossam Elsayed Abouelfetouh will be the coordinator. Welcoming the members of the committee, HE Al Tayer urged them to continue working hard and keep generating creative ideas that are in sync with the vision of the Award and its objectives of honouring creativity in sports The MBR Creative Sports Award is organised under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is the biggest award of its kind in terms of value and diversity of categories, and dedicated to inspiring creativity in sports - not just in the UAE, but around the Arab world and the globe. In the 10th edition, the list of winners included HE Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak (Local Sports Personality), the CEO of Manchester City FC, HE Turki Al Sheikh of Saudi Arabia (Arab Sports Personality) and Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah (Outstanding Arab Athlete). The winners were awarded at a glittering ceremony on January 9 this year inside Dubai World Trade Centre’s Sheikh Rashid Ballroom.
