Turkish Players Hope To Learn During PSL Event

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Nov, 2018 ) :Two Turkish cricketers, who will accompany Pakistan Super League Franchise Peshawar Zalmi's team during the fourth edtion of the league as guests have expressed the hope that they will be able to learn a lot from world's best players.
The fourth edition of the PSL will commence from February 13 in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Peshawar Zalmi at a cermony that held recently at Turkey Embassy in Pakistan announced that two Turkish male players, 20-year-old Tunahan Turan and 18-year-old Mehmet Sert would be part of its team as guest players. Both the players will fly with the team to UAE and witness all the cricketing action.
"I'm really excited to be part of the Peshawar Zalmi. I hope to learn a lot from the world's best players and improve my skills," Turan told APP.
He said cricket was a nascent sport in his country but younsters were showing keen interest in this game. "Several clubs have been set up in our country where younsters are working hard to polish their skills," he added.
"It will be a unique experience for us to be part of the Peshawar Zalmi. I am anxiously waiting for the event to start," Mehmet, the other Turkish player said.
Ankara Sports Club President, Hasan�Sabit said that he was thankful to Peshawar Zalmi owner, Javed Afridi for agreeing to promote cricket in Turkey. "An MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) has been signed between Turkish sports federation and Peshawar Zalmi for promotion of cricket in our country. I hope soon we will start producing some qulaity players with their cooperation," he added.
