Zalmi Foundation, US Consulate, PCB Organized Women Cricket Camp

PSL's biggest franchise Peshawar Zalmi is working towards women empowerment in the region of KP and to take this mission forward, Zalmi Foundation organized a Women's Training Camp in National Cricket Academy with the cooperation of US Consulate Lahore and PCB and 40 girls participated here on Monday
They were provided professional cricket coaching in order to enhance their game.
These 40 girls belong to the region of KP & Punjab and our passionate for the game of cricket.
US Consulate General's Ambassador Mr. Colin Crinwilge was happy to see all the accolades everywhere of the girls and was to be part of a women empowerment initiative.
Peshawar Zalmi Head Coach Muhammad Akram, Zalmi Stars Umaid Asif, Kamran Akmal & Wahab Riaz were also present. They said this initiative will pave more opportunities for women's cricket in these areas.
Chairman Javed Afridi said that "Zalmi Foundation is working diligently towards youth and women empowerment. This initiative is to find new talent for cricket and provide these girls an opportunity so they too can enter the mainstream cricket arena. Thank you the US Consulate Lahore & PCB for their support in this initiative." Souvenirs and prizes were distributed among the players.
