Egyptian satellite EgyptSat-A is preliminarily scheduled to be launched on the Russian-made Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket on February 7, 2019, a source in the rocket and space industry told Sputnik on Thursday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th December, 2018) Egyptian satellite EgyptSat-A is preliminarily scheduled to be launched on the Russian-made Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket on February 7, 2019, a source in the rocket and space industry told Sputnik on Thursday.

"The launch of EgyptSat-A satellite on Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket is scheduled for February 7, 2019, 19:47 Moscow time [16:47 GMT]," the source said.

The source added that the EgyptSat-A, produced by the Russian Energia Rocket and Space Corporation, was set to be delivered to the space center on January 20, 2019.
