Energia Corp. Proposes Construction Of Russia's Lunar Orbital Station After 2030

The Energia Rocket and Space Corporation proposes to begin construction of a Russian space station orbiting the Moon sometime after 2030, Russia's general designer of manned spacecraft Yevgeny Mikrin said Monday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th November, 2018) The Energia Rocket and Space Corporation proposes to begin construction of a Russian space station orbiting the Moon sometime after 2030, Russia's general designer of manned spacecraft Yevgeny Mikrin said Monday.

According to Mikrin's presentation at a conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the International Space Station (ISS), the space outpost could be built between 2030 and 2035.

The Russian space exploration program envisions the circling of the Moon, as well as unmanned and manned landings on its surface before that.
