Lockheed Martin Wins Nearly $60Mln US Army Remote Sensing Radar Contract - Pentagon

(UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th September, 2018) Lockheed Martin has received an almost $60-million US Army contract including foreign military sales to the United Kingdom, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and South Korea of modernized-radar frequency interferometers, the Department of Defense said in a press release.

domestic and foreign military sales (United Kingdom, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and [South] Korea) contract for... modernized-radar frequency interferometers," the release said on Friday.

The contract also covers spares, sustainment hardware and associated support functions, the release added.

Terrestrial or ground-based synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry is a remote sensing technique for the displacement monitoring of slopes, rock scarps, volcanoes, landslides, buildings and infrastructures, according to published reports.
