Russia intends to conduct around 45 rocket launches in 2019, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said Wednesday

GORKI (Moscow Region) (UrduPoint news / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2019) Russia intends to conduct around 45 rocket launches in 2019, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said Wednesday.

"This year, we will carry out about 45 launches. This, as you know, is almost twice as much as in 2018.

The plans are ambitious, but I think that with proper organization of work it will be possible to implement them," Borisov told reporters.

Earlier in January, Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos also announced the plans to conduct 45 launches.

At the end of December, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said that Russia conducted 22 space launches in 2018.
