Russian Central Military District To Receive Anti-Satellite Weapons In 2019 -Press Service

The Russian Central Military District will be equipped with the newest Tirada-2 and Palantin electronic warfare systems next year, the district's press service said on Monday.

will significantly increase the operational capability of electronic warfare units of the military district and allow them to perform more ambitious and complex tasks," the press service said.
The Tirada-2S is designed to jam a potential enemy's satellite communications.
The job of the Palantin electronic warfare system is to jam enemy radio communications as well as conduct electronic reconnaissance, according to the press service.
