Russia's 1st Humanoid Robot To Travel To Space On Board Prospective Soyuz Spacraft

The first Russian avatar humanoid robot will travel to the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz spacecraft, Russia's general designer of manned spacecraft Yevgeny Mikrin said on Monday.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th November, 2018) The first Russian avatar humanoid robot will travel to the International Space Station aboard the Soyuz spacecraft, Russia's general designer of manned spacecraft Yevgeny Mikrin said on Monday.

"An autonomous robot will be created as part of the Ispytatel [Tester] project. It will perform work on board a prospective manned space transport vehicle, as well as inside the Russian segment of the International Space Station [ISS]. By the way, the first model will travel on the Soyuz," Mikrin said at a conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the ISS.
