UAE To Host Conference For Heads Of Arab States' Space Agencies In March -UAE Space Agency

DOHA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th February, 2019) A separate conference for heads of Arab states' space agencies will be held within the Global Space Congress, slated for March, to discuss space industry development in the Arab world, the press service of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Space Agency told Sputnik late on Monday.

The UAE Space Agency will host the Global Space Congress in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi on March 19-21.

"During the Global Space Congress, which will be held on March 19-21, a special conference uniting heads of Arab space agencies and organizations will be held in order to discuss the situation in the Arab states' space industry and the mechanisms for joining efforts toward development of this sphere," the press service said.

The Global Space Congress will bring together heads of international space agencies and companies, representatives of governmental organizations, researchers and scientists. The event will focus on modern space exploration technologies and personnel training, among other topics.

Mohammed Ahbabi, the head of the UAE Space Agency, has said that the agency regarded the congress as a possibility to boost Arab states development, enhance space cooperation within the region and also to attract Arab youth to work in the space sphere.
