Yandex Founder Refutes Reports on Plans to Sell Stakes in Company

Russia's tech giant Yandex CEO Arkady Volozh denied on Monday reports on plans to sell his shares in the company.

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd October, 2018) Russia's tech giant Yandex CEO Arkady Volozh denied on Monday reports on plans to sell his shares in the company.

Last week, The Bell reported that Russia's Sberbank was seeking to buy up to 30 percent of Yandex shares.

The bank's press service has refuted the information.

"When we founded Yandex 21 years ago, we could not imagine that it will become a top-class IT company. ... I am planning to continue being the head of Yandex and have no intention of selling the company," Volozh said, as quoted by Yandex' press service.
