Hazara Receives Heavy Snowfall

Heavy snowfall on Saturday continued on the second day on the upper parts of Hazara division where Naran, Kaghan received more than two feet snowfall while Galyat and Thandyani received more than one feet snow

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jan, 2019 ) :Heavy snowfall on Saturday continued on the second day on the upper parts of Hazara division where Naran, Kaghan received more than two feet snowfall while Galyat and Thandyani received more than one feet snow.

Owing to heavy snowfall in Galyat, visibility on the roads remained zero whereas Gayat Development Authority (GDA) canceled the weekly off of the employees and directed them to stay in the field.

GDA also issued a travel advisory to the tourists and said inexperienced drivers should avoid travel of Galyat, use only petrol vehicle, drive slowly and carefully in foggy conditions, use flashing parking lights when parked and use only low beams and fog lamps while driving.

GDA claimed that they have all sorts of arrangement ready to tackle any rescue operation in the area and would clear the roads of Galyat as the snowfall stops.

Almost all roads of Kaghan, Nararn, Shorgran, Galyat and Thandyani are blocked owing to heavy snowfall and people of the area are stuck in their houses.
