LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2024) Light rain hit the city early Saturday while Meteorological Department predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.

Officials said strong monsoon currents were likely to penetrate from Arabian Sea in upper parts on Saturday night and likely to spread in central and southern parts from July 29.

They predicted that rain-windstorm/thundershower was expected in Kashmir, eastern Punjab, Pothohar Region, Islamabad, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and southeast Sindh. Heavy falls may also occur at isolated places in northeast Punjab and Kashmir while hot and very humid weather was likely in other parts of the country.

Rainfall was recorded at several cities across the country. Saturday’s highest maximum temperature was recorded at Noukundi and Dalbandin where mercury reached 47°C while in Lahore it was 37.0°C and minimum was 26.8°C.
