ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2020 ) :Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Wednesday forecast mainly cold and dry weather for most parts of the country during next 24 hours.

Very cold is expected in northern parts, light fog likely to prevail at few places of plain areas of Punjab during morning hours, the MET office reported.

Rain occurred during last 24 hours at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Attock, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Snowfall is also occurred in Malamjabba, Murree, Parachinar, Kalam and Astore during the period.

Rainfall recorded in (mm): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Pattan 17, Balakot 11, Parachinar 10, Dir (Upper 07, Lower 02), Kakul 06 ,Kalam 04, Siadusharif, Drosh 02, Kashmir: Muzaffarabad (AP 11, City 09), Garhidupatta 06, Rawalkot 05, Kotli 01 , Punjab : Murree 10, Attock 02, Islamabad (AP 01), Gilgit-Baltistan: Skardu, Bagrote 01.

Snowfall recorded in (inches): Malamjabba 05, Murree 04, Parachinar 03, Kalam, Astore 01.

Minimum temperatures recorded Skardu -15�C, Bagrote, Gupis -12�C, Parachinar -09�C, Astore -08�C, Malamjabba -07�C, Kalam, Kalat -06�C and Murree -04�C.
