No intense rainfall expected from 30 Aug to 5 Sep

National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in daily monsoon situation report Wednesday said that no very heavy rainfall is expected with the same situation persisting at the catchments from August 30 to September 5.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Aug, 2018 ) :National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in daily monsoon situation report Wednesday said that no very heavy rainfall is expected with the same situation persisting at the catchments from August 30 to September 5.

The report said that significant rainfall reported during last 24 hours was in Lahore 35 mm. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) also predicted mainly dry weather over most parts of the country during next 24 hours.

However, isolated thunderstorm or rain is expected over Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Lahore and D.

G. Khan Divisions, Southeast Sindh alongwith upper catchments of all the major Rivers, the forecast said.

No significant event was reported while Road to Batswat village, Tehsil Ishkoman, District Ghizer, Gilgit Baltstan was still blocked due to debris flow where restoration work was in progress by district administration, it added.

The report claimed that all other roads and railway routes across the country were clear.

The weather forecast for the last 24 hours reported that weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country while rain occurred in Lahore and Barkhan, Balochistan.
