No Major Activity, Significant Rainfall Reported: NDMA

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported no major activity during last 24 hours while slight rainfall only occurred in Astore 1mm (Gilgit Baltistan) on Monday.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Sep, 2018 ) :The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has reported no major activity during last 24 hours while slight rainfall only occurred in Astore 1mm (Gilgit Baltistan) on Monday.
According to the daily monsoon situation report, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecast for next 24 hours, "Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country".
The road situation reported was the same as Road to Batswat village, Tehsil Ishkoman, District Ghizer, GB is blocked due to debris flow and restoration work was in progress on the road by district administration. "All other roads across the country and railway routes are clear", the report said.
The report claimed that no major incident and activity that might cause serious life and property damages was reported during the past 24 hours.
The NDMA has issued adequate recommendations and precautionary measures to the relevant stakeholders for the timely clearance of all drains and sewerage systems in major cities while proper awareness campaigns should be launched to create awareness among the masses to adopt preventive measures. The weather remained dry in most parts of the country in the last 24 hours. However, minimum rainfall occurred at Astore with a few traces received by Skardu, the report said.
