Rain likely at isolated places on Friday: Pakistan Meteorological Department 19 July 2018

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Thursday forecast rain-thundershower with gusty winds for isolated places of Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit- Baltistan during the next 24 hours.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2018 ) :Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Thursday forecast rain-thundershower with gusty winds for isolated places of Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit- Baltistan during the next 24 hours.

According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over Northwest Balochistan. Weak monsoon currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal were continuously penetrating upper and central parts of the country and likely to continue during next 48 hours.

"Rain-thundershower is likely in Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, Zhob, Kalat, Mirpurkhas divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday", PMD said.

The rainfall (mm) recorded during the last 24 hours was Punjab: Malakwal 77, Lahore (Airport 29, PU 11, City 01), Sahiwal 14, Sialkot (Cantt) 09, Sargodha (City 09, AP 01), Kasur 09, Okara 06, Chakwal 04, Dera Ghazi Khan 02, Murree, Bahawalnager 01, Balochistan: Barkhan 22, Khuzdar 06, Lasbella, Dalbandin 01, KPK: Peshawar (City 20, AP 08), Cherat 17, Risalpur 13, Malamjabba 03, Dir 02, Sindh: Nagerparker 02 and Kashmir: Kotli 01.

The maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Dalbandin, Turbat 44'C, Sibbi 43 'C.
