Smog Threat: Brick Kilns Banned From Oct 20 To Dec 31

The provincial environment protection department has imposed a ban on brick kilns from October 20 to December 31 to avoid environmental pollution and smog.

MIANWALI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :The provincial environment protection department has imposed a ban on brick kilns from October 20 to December 31 to avoid environmental pollution and smog.

According to environment department official, only those brick kilns can function which use zig-zag technology during these months.

The department will also ensure compliance in this regard and strict action would also be initiated against the violators.

He said that directions had also been issued to the inspectors concerned for conducting surprise visits to brick kilns for checking.

He told the media that 68 brick kiln owners had been served advisory notices while meeting had also been held with the Brick Kiln Associations regarding compliance oforders.
