Water level recedes in Chenab

Floodwater level receded to a great extant in River Chenab on Tuesday, as it dropped to 52,000 cusecs from over night's 112,000 cusecs at Head Marala near here.

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :Floodwater level receded to a great extant in River Chenab on Tuesday, as it dropped to 52,000 cusecs from over night's 112,000 cusecs at Head Marala near here.

On Monday, River Chenab remained in low flood as India suddenly released a peak of 150,000 cusecs of floodwater into it.

Earlier, water level had increased in the river due to ongoing spell of heavy rains in catchments areas in neighbouring occupiedJammu and Kashmir.
