About 130,000 People Welcome Russian President Putin In Belgrade - Interior MInistry

BELGRADE (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 18th January, 2019) About 130,000 people welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin near the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade on Thursday, a representative of the Serbian Interior Ministry told Sputnik.
Earlier on Thursday, Putin arrived in Serbia and held negotiations with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic.
"About 130,000 people gathered [near the Church of Saint Sava] in order to welcome the Russian president," the ministry's representative said.
Putin, Vucic and Serbian Patriarch Irinej visited the biggest Orthodox cathedral in Serbia and completed constriction of mosaic in it. After that the Russian president welcomed all the people, who gathered near the cathedral, in Russian and Serbian languages.
