The airstrikes were carried out in the vicinity of the Khak Safid district, the Khaama Press news agency reported, citing the 207th Zafar Corps.

During the operation, five militants' vehicles and two motorcycles were also seized.

No militant group commented on the issue.

Afghanistan has long been in a state of turmoil, with the government fighting the Islamic State (IS) terror group, outlawed in Russia, as well as the Taliban insurgency.
