Afghan Forces Kill At Least 51 IS Militants In Eastern Afghanistan - Reports

The Afghan forces killed at least 51 militants linked with the Islamic State terrorist group (IS, banned in Russia) in the country's eastern Nangarhar province, local media reported on Tuesday.
The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East said militants of IS terrorist group had been killed during the operations conducted in Awghaz village in Haska Mina district, the Khaama Press News Agency reported, citing the statement of the Afghan National Army (ANA) forces.
The militant and terrorist groups have not yet commented on the situation, according to the the news agency.
Afghanistan has long been suffering from unstable political and humanitarian situation, which had worsened due to the activities of various terrorist groups such as the IS and Taliban terrorist group (both banned in Russia). The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces are currently conducting joint offensive operations to combat terrorism across the country.
