DAVOS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd January, 2019) Afghanistan is open to support from Russia and cooperation with Moscow after the establishment of peace in the country, Afghanistan's Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah told Sputnik on the sidelines of World Economic Forum in Davos.
"The idea is that if there is peace, we need support from other countries from the United States, from Russia ...
There is no sanction against any country in providing support and talking about peace. Today, of course, NATO is there, and Moscow has its own views about the situation in Afghanistan, but we are talking about future of the country meaning cooperation from all countries," the chief executive said.
Abdullah remarked on terrorist groups that are a threat to countries in central Asia.
"Do we have to cooperate in dealing with them? There are a lot of areas of cooperation which one can explore," the chief executive said.
