Amount Of Average Bribe In Russia Stood At $9,140 In 2018 - Russian Prosecution

The amount of the average bribe in Russia reached 609,000 rubles ($9,140) this year, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office's spokesman Alexander Kurennoy said on Tuesday.
"The total amount of bribes in all the cases opened under article 290 accounts for 1.
8 billion rubles [$27 million], and the amount of an average bribe is 609,000 rubles [$9,140]," Kurennoy said while aired by the office's new interactive video service Efir.
The spokesman also added that 186 large-scale bribes were detected in January-September 2018, a total of more than 1.5 billion rubles ($22.5 million) with an average amount of bribe standing at 8 million rubles ($121,000). Moreover, 826 bribes of from 25,000 to 150,000 rubles ($375 - $2,250) were revealed during the same period, amounting to over 48 million rubles ($720,500) with an average bribe size of 58,000 rubles ($871).
