APEC Leaders Pose For Photo In New Guinean Shirts, Medvedev Dresses In Yellow

The leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) states had their photos taken in the Hilton hotel in Papua New Guinea's capital of Port Moresby wearing Papua New Guinean national shirts, with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev wearing a yellow one, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Saturday

PORT MORESBY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th November, 2018) The leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) states had their photos taken in the Hilton hotel in Papua New Guinea's capital of Port Moresby wearing Papua New Guinean national shirts, with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev wearing a yellow one, a Sputnik correspondent reported on Saturday.

All the shirts were made of a shiny fabric with differing colors, with the leaders wearing red, yellow or blue shirts. Medvedev, who is heading the Russian delegation at the ongoing APEC summit, was wearing a yellow shirt.

US Vice President Mike Pence joined the APEC leaders after missing the previous events of the summit, including an APEC business Advisory Council meeting and a meeting of the leaders of the Pacific islands.

After having had the photos taken, the leaders proceeded to a ceremonial reception held by the host of the summit, Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister Peter O'Neill.

The event started earlier in the day and will last through Sunday.
